Roger DiCARLo

Coach DiCarlo is the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Scripps Ranch High School, entering his first season with the Falcons Basketball Program in 2025–2026.

Prior to joining Scripps Ranch, he spent a year as an Assistant Coach at Saint Joseph Academy. Coach DiCarlo previously led San Marcos High School for an impressive 20 seasons, earning multiple accolades during his tenure. In the 2012–2013 season, he was named both the North County Times Coach of the Year and the CIF San Diego County Coach of the Year.

Under his leadership, the Lady Knights were CIF-SDS Finalists during the 2016–2017 season. The following year, 2017–2018, marked the most successful season in the program’s history. The team competed in the Open Division of the CIF Playoffs and made the CIF-State Playoffs for the second consecutive year. They won three home playoff games and advanced to the CIF-State Semifinals, falling short to the eventual state champions. That season, Coach DiCarlo was honored as the CalHiSports Division 2 State Coach of the Year.

Coach DiCarlo led his teams to a total of 3 CIF Championships.

At the collegiate level, Coach DiCarlo has held coaching roles at San Diego State University and Allen County Community College in Kansas. His high school coaching journey also includes impactful stints at Madison High School, Clairemont High School, and Hoover High School—where he helped guide the program to its first-ever league championship in Girls Basketball.
